The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is preparing new flood studies for Southern Maryland and surveyors will be conducting field work from Nov. 1-10. The Coastal Field Work for FEMA flood studies will occur in St. Maryโ€™s, Calvert, Charles, Prince Georgeโ€™s and Anne Arundel counties.

Surveyors may need to enter privately owned property for short periods of time to gather survey information. The engineering firm, Risk Assessment Mapping and Planning Partners (RAMPP), will make every attempt possible to contact homeowners in advance and obtain permission for access. Upon request, surveyors will identify themselves by driverโ€™s license and documentation from the engineering firm.
