WALDORF, Md. – The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that dealt $1,600 worth of damage to a car in the early hours of Wednesday, April 18. Around 3:15 a.m., crews from the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded to Eagle Court, Waldorf for a reported fire. Units arrived to the scene and discovered a 2006 Ford Fusion on fire and worked quickly to douse the flames.
Investigation revealed that the fire started from the inside of the vehicle. Authorities have reason to believe the cause of the fire to be incendiary. Anyone with any information on this incident to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office, at 443-550-6835.
