WALDORF, Md. – On December 21 at 6:21 p.m., the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded to an apartment fire located on Prestancia Place of Waldorf. The fire was contained to a trash bag which had been placed on the back deck of the three story garden style apartment.
The fire was quickly extinguished by the resident, Mary Catterton after being discovered by her neighbor. By the time firefighters arrived on site, the fire was already extinguished. The structure sustained minor damage estimated at about $200 and no residents were displaced. The investigation continues.
