The Sixty Third Annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association Convention was held on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2 culminating with a parade of firefighting equipment and volunteers, which began at 12:30 p.m. The Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Inc., home of incoming Association President Willie Wilkerson, hosted this year’s event.
