Leonardtown, MD — Every year St. Mary’s County Government takes the opportunity to say a big “Thank You” to the members of the volunteer fire and rescue services. It’s called Fire and Rescue Appreciation Day and it was held this year on Saturday, Aug. 8 on the grounds of the St. Mary’s County Governmental Center.
Adults have competitions, the children have their games and everyone has plenty to eat including steamed crabs.
Each year certificates are presented to each department from the politicians on hand.
