Waldorf, MD – On Jan. 19 at approximately 2:45 p.m. the occupant of a two-story house on Gallant Green Road in Charles County reported fire, state investigators stated. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, 30 firefighters were dispatched to the blaze and brought the blaze under control in 15 minutes. There were no injuries reported.
“The fire was the result of a fire within the woodstove piping located in an interior wall,” a deputy fire marshal’s report stated. “Four adults are being assisted by the American Red Cross.”
Damage to home is estimated at $50,000.
At approximately, 3:37 p.m. a house fire was reported in the 5000 block of Gallant Green Road in Charles County.
