Charles County, MD — Charles County first responders are teaming up with local Girl Scouts to collect school supplies for kids in need.
Charles County Volunteer Fire/EMS and the Charles County Sheriff’s Office will be accepting donations at any Fire/EMS Department or any Sheriff’s District Station now through August 28.
Just drop off your donation of any of the following items:
- backpacks (no wheels)
- erasers
- pens
- highlighters
- washable markers
- glue sticks
- scissors
- 1″ binders
- #2 pencils
- pencil pouches
- loose-leaf paper,
- composition notebooks
- 24-count crayons
- plastic prong folders with pockets
- index cards
On August 28, Girl Scout Troops will fill as many backpacks as they can with supplies and distribute them to county elementary schools to be given to kids in need.
