Police and other emergency responders in Calvert County are still at the scene of a three-vehicle accident that occurred late this morning at Route 2 and Lower Marlboro Road in Sunderland. According to Lt. Steve Jones of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, five people have been flown to area hospitals. Jones said medics performed CPR on two of the injured at the scene. Once the patients were stabilized, they were flown. The road remains shut down as members of the Accident Reconstruction Team and the Calvert Investigative Team are probing the crash to determine its cause.
