LA PLATA, Md. – Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq. ordered the Charles County flag to be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full-staff on sunset December 3, 2021, to honor retired Charles County Sheriff’s Officer, Sergeant Roland Dyson.
Sheriff Berry and the men and women of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office were saddened to hear of the passing of Retired Sergeant Roland A. Dyson, 90, who passed away on November 19.
Sergeant Dyson served the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Charles County with honor from March 1968 to March 1988.
