President Donald J. Trump has ordered the United States flag to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset, Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, in honor of Patriot Day. This commemorates the individuals that lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks against the United States on Sept. 11, 2001.
As a matter of protocol, the Maryland flag and Charles County flag will be lowered to half-staff as well; no flag may be higher than the United States flag.
