
LEXINGTON PARK, Md. –ย ย While the Carolinas are bracing for what is being called the storm of a lifetime, the DC-Maryland-Virginia can breathe a collective sigh of relief as Florence’s track turns South.

That said, Southern Maryland is not completely out of the woods yet. At this time, forecasters are predicting slight risks for the area due to weather conditions resulting from Florence.
The Maryland Emergency Management Agency saysย “flooding is still a concern” and advise residents to continue to be vigilant as they monitor the storm.
Hurricane Florence is currently a category 3 storm expected to make landfall in the Carolinas by Saturday.ย
