Torey Geonte Stockton
Forestville, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with a homicide in Forestville on June 28. He is Torey Geonte Stockton, 20 of Forestville.
On June 28, at 8:05 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 6400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim was Jerelle Burnett, 25 of Temple Hills.
The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting. Stockton is charged with first-and second-degree murder. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
