Upon arrival, contact was made with Mary Madeline Wood, 50 of Lexington Park. She advised Kotowski was not home. TFC Rezza heard movement inside the residence and attempted to go inside when Wood stood in his way. TFC Rezza proceeded and found Kotowski hiding inside a bedroom closet.
Kotowski was taken into custody for the warrant. Wood was also taken into custody for obstruction and hindering a police officer, as well as harboring a fugitive. Wood also willingly violated a protective order by sharing the dwelling with Kotowski.
Wood was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review. Kotowski was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was served an outstanding warrant by TFC Greggs.
