Calvert County Dep. J. Lord is investigating a theft of a motor vehicle and several other thefts in the area of Independence Drive and Ivory Lane in Port Republic that occurred overnight between July 9 and 10.
A silver 2004 Toyota Tacoma truck valued at $10,000 was stolen from a home on Independence Drive. The garage door sustained $700 in damage during the theft. Someone broke the rear window on a vehicle parked in the garage of a home on Ivory Lane causing $250 in damage but nothing appears to have been taken. A third victim advised that a pair of sunglasses and a tire gauge were missing from her vehicle that had been parked in the garage of her home on Ivory Lane.
