La Plata, MD— On Jan. 22, at approximately 12:51 p.m., Volunteer Fire Departments from La Plata, Hughesville, Waldorf, Benedict, Bel Alton, Newburg and Mechanicsville reported to a house fire in the 11000 block of Adrian Lane in La Plata.
Crews arrived on scene to find a single story single family home, with fire and smoke showing from the garage.
A total of 55 volunteers responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
The fire was discovered to be a car in the garage with multiple propane tanks with the bulk of the fire contained to the garage with minimal damage to the living area.
Crews worked for nearly two hours to put this house fire out.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall.
