Leonardtown, MD – A mid-morning fire that caused damage to a three-car garage in St. Maryโ€™s County Sunday, July 9 remains under investigation, state authorities reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, the blaze, which was reported around 9 a.m. after being discovered by a passerby, occurred on Society Hill Road in Leonardtown.

โ€œThere are no signs the fire was intentionally set at this time,โ€ a state deputy fire marshal reported.

Twenty-five firefighters were dispatched to the one-alarm blaze and brought it under control in 10 minutes. There were no injuries reported. Damage to the garage, which is attached to the home, is estimated at $7,000. The property is owned by Kirit and Niharika Patel.
