On October 23, 2010 deputies responded to a residence on Lexwood Drive in Lexington Park, for a report of a fight in progress.
Upon arrival deputies observed several women actively engaged in a physical altercation. Investigation revealed Kaitlyn Taylor Birch, 22 of Lexington Park, was in a verbal altercation with two individuals which escalated into a physical assault when Birch struck the first victim in the face. The second victim attempted to intervene and stop the assault when she was assaulted. Birch punched the second victim in the face and ripped her shirt.
Birch was arrested and charged with two counts of second degree assault.
