Brittany Nicole Medley
Lexington Park, MD— On Jan.21, St.Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Carl Ball responded to the 46000 block of Columbus Drive in Lexington Park, for the report of a domestic assault.
The victim alleged the suspect, Brittany Nicole Medley, 26, of Lexington Park, pushed and strangled the victim during an argument.
According to the charging documents, “The victim advised the two were involved in a physical altercation after the defendant found out the victim was pregnant. The victim and the defendant are in an intimate relationship and have been living together for at least a month at the residence.”
“The defendant has been punching the victim in the stomach and her back. There was visible bruising on the victim’s chest and stomach along with a scratch on her chest. The victim stated the defendant also strangled her, there was a scratch and redness on her neck,” according to charging documents.
The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Medley was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with second-degree assault.
Medley at this time does not have a court date scheduled. Medley faces a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and/or a maximum fine of $2,500.
