Charlottesville, N.C.- Maryland Governor Larry Hogan was the official starter of the longest race of the season; the Coca-Cola 600. The Governor toured the facilities and talked with many of the crew and staff.
The Governor had this to say on his Facebook page afterward; “Today it was a sincere honor to serve as the starter in the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Today’s race serves as a sobering reminder – with the names of fallen heroes on each car – of the men and women who fight for our freedom every single day. This Memorial Day Weekend, we pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.”
