On Friday night, Great Mills boyโ€™s varsity basketball played at Leonardtown for their last home game.ย  Leonardtown students, naming this game the โ€œwhite outโ€ came ready to support their team, many dressed in all white.ย

Great Mills Hornets have not lost to the Leonardtown Raiders basketball team this season, and as of Friday night they continued their sweep with a 70 to 55 victory.ย ย

Leonardtown captains Billy Snively and Donardis Bradshaw made a solid effort to rally their team for a comeback in the third quarter, shortening the gap to only a few points behind Great Mills, however due to the sting of The Hornets penetrating offense; Great Mills achieved another victory over L-town.ย ย

Leonardtownโ€™s record is now 8-9 โ€œbut we still have all of February,โ€ said Lauren Bussler, one of Leonardtownโ€™s statisticians.ย

Coming out that night to support both teams, Dr. Michael Martirano, Superintendent of Schools, said he enjoyed the game.ย  โ€œI love basketball,โ€ he said.ย  โ€œBoth teams were outstanding.โ€
