At 4:09 p.m. June 24, Officer J. Timko of the Charles County Sheriffโs Office responded to Spencerโs Gift Shop at 11110 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of a shoplifter in custody.
Investigation revealed a 16-year-old Upper Marlboro boy concealed a belt buckle in his pocket and attempted to leave the store without paying for it. An employee detained the boy and called police. The boy was charged with theft and released to his mother.
At 6:12 p.m. June 22, Officer J. Timko responded to Sears at 11170 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of two shoplifters in custody.
Investigation revealed a 16-year-old Waldorf girl and a 16-year-old Bryans Road girl concealed clothing in a bag and attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention personnel detained the girls and called police. The girls were charged with theft and released to guardians.
At 4 p.m. June 22, Officer J. Timko responded to JC Penney at 11130 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of two shoplifters in custody.
Investigation revealed two Waldorf girls, ages 14 and 15, concealed clothing in a bag and attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention personnel detained the girls and called police. The girls were charged with theft and released to their mothers.
At 11:45 p.m. June 7, Charles County Sheriffโs officers responded to Wal-Mart at 40 Drury Drive in La Plata for the report of a shoplifter.
Investigation revealed a 14-year-old La Plata boy stole a bottle of BB gun pellets and audio CDs from the store. The items were returned to Wal-Mart and the boy was charged with theft under $500. He was released to the custody of his mother.
