Hide tanning workshop

St. Mary’s City, MD— Registration is open for a hide tanning workshop scheduled for October 3, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. 

Learn the native art of taking a deer hide and turning it into soft buckskin. This program, designed for beginners, takes you through the steps required to do a natural brain-tanning. Not for the faint of heart – come prepared to get messy and work! Space is limited.
