
HOLLYWOOD, Md. – The National Weather Service has issued the following “High Wind Watch” from the night of Thursday, March 1 through the night Friday, March 2.ย
Meteorologists are calling for strong winds moving Northwest at 25 to 40 mph with potential for gusts around 60 mph.ย
Possible impacts from damaging winds include:ย
- Downed trees
- Down power lines
- Widespread power outagesย
- Difficult travel (especially for high profile vehicles)ย

- Northern Baltimore
- Northwest Harford
- Northwest Howard

- Southern Baltimore
- St. Marys
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of 58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
