CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – On March 14 at 7:10 p.m., crews responded to the report of a brush fire located on the 3000 block of Summer City Boulevard, Chesapeake Beach. Units arrived to the scene and extinguished the fire in 3 minutes.
Further investigation revealed that around 5:30 p.m. the property owners were alerted to a bush on fire in their yard. The fire was the result of discarded smoking materials. Around 7:00 p.m. another call for a brush fire was reported at the same location. Due to high winds, embers from the earlier brush fire ignited another tree on the property. There was no damage to the home as a result of these fires.
