On June 12 at 12:03 a.m., Calvert Control received a call for a stabbing in Lusby.ย Deputy R. Weems arrived at a home on Ridge View Road and contacted the victim, a 31-year-old male and witness, a 28-year-old male.ย
The two reported that earlier in the evening they had walked from the home on Ridge View Road to the Md. Rt. 4 intersection to hitchhike a ride to a store.ย A white passenger vehicle stopped to give them a ride.ย An unknown black male got out of the driver’s side of the vehicle and asked if they had gas money.ย As the victim pulled some cash from his sweat pants pocket, the suspect pulled out a knife, came towards him and slashed his forearm.ย The suspect got into his vehicle without taking any cash and fled, traveling southbound on Md. Rt. 4. The two men ran back to the victimโs residence, about a mile, and contacted the police.ย The victim reported that there was a black female seated in the front passenger seat of the white vehicle.ย ย

The 31-year-old was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital, treated for a laceration to his right forearm, and released.ย The injury is not considered to be life threatening or cause permanent disfigurement.ย

The description of the subject is a black male with dread locks, wearing a red baseball cap and white T-shirt.ย He has a light mustache and a medium build.ย No further details of the suspect’s vehicle other than that it was white could be given.ย Sgt. Sciana Roach of C.I.T. is investigating.ย
