Waldorf, MD – On March 23 at approximately 9:05 p.m., officers responded to the area of Berry Road at Market Place for the report of a home invasion and assault that just occurred.

Investigation showed Trayvon Richardson, 29 of White Plains, rammed his car into a female acquaintanceโ€™s vehicle, broke into her house, and assaulted her with a screw driver, causing severe facial injuries. He fled, but responding officers spotted his car and attempted to stop him. Richardson refused to pull over and subsequently side-swiped a van, which was also struck by an officer, and continued driving south on Route 5. His car came to a stop near Gardiner Road. During the course of the investigation, officers learned that while Richardson was fleeing, he threw a knife out of his car window which struck the head of a man who was in another vehicle. No one was injured during the pursuit.
