Bravon Freeman
Capitol Heights, MDย – Homicide Unit detectives arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Todd Webb in Capitol Heights early Sunday morning. The suspect is 22-year-old Bravon Freeman of the 4900 block of Call Place in S.E. Washington, D.C.
The investigation continues into identifying and arresting the suspect(s) who shot and killed 18-year-old Brian Davis at that same shooting scene minutes earlier.
On October 30th, at about 2:45 am, patrol officers were called to the 6800 block of Walker Mill Road for a shooting. They discovered a total of six shooting victims in the parking lot. Webb and Davis were pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals the six victims and Freeman were among a group of people who were gathered outside an apartment building to take part in or watch a dice game. For a reason which remains under investigation, a suspect or suspects began to shoot into the group. Davis was killed in that shooting. Several minutes later, detectives believe Freeman went inside the building, got a gun and then shot and killed Webb. Responding patrol officers arrested Freeman on the scene.
Freeman is in the custody of the Department of Corrections being held on a no bond status. He is charged with first and second-degree murder.
