LUSBY, Md. – On September 14th, 2018 at approximately 3:39 p.m. , the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted to the 1500 block of Sollers Wharf Road for the kitchen fire.
Engine 71 and Tanker 7 promptly responded. 1st arriving units from Co.3 gave an initial report of smoke showing from a two-story single family home and shortly after advised they were extinguishing a kitchen fire.
Engine 71 then arrived and assisted Co.3 units with extensive overhaul and ventilating the structure, ultimately finding the fire was contained to the kitchen area.
St. Leonard units operated for approximately one hour before clearing the fire ground.
