Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement after President Obama signed major disaster declaration for the State of Maryland, triggering the release of Federal funds to help communities recover from Tropical Storm Lee:
“In the Fifth District, Anne Arundel, Charles, and Prince George’s Counties were especially hard hit by Tropical Storm Lee. I am pleased that President Obama signed the Maryland Disaster Declaration, so that these communities can continue to clean up and recover knowing that they have financial help from the Federal Government.”
