Waldorf, MD – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) visited Thomas Stone High School government students today to discuss civic engagement:
“Today, I had the privilege of visiting students at Thomas Stone High School to discuss the importance of civic engagement in our democracy. I enjoyed discussing some of the issues most important to the students, including the role of Congress, and I was encouraged to see that so many students are getting involved in Thomas Stone’s student government organizations. I applaud the work of students across Maryland to get involved in our government, and I know these bright young leaders will continue to make a positive impact in our community.”
