Waldorf, MD – State investigators are dealing with another motor vehicle fire in Charles County that appears to have been deliberately set. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, the latest occurred Thursday evening, April 20 on St. Paulโ€™s Drive in Waldorf. The vehicle, a 2003 H3 Hummer, sustained $15,100 damage.

โ€œUnknown suspects ignited combustibles within the passenger compartment of the vehicle,โ€ a deputy fire marshalโ€™s report stated. The fire was discovered by a passerby at approximately 11:42 p.m.

Four firefighters brought the blaze under control in 10 minutes. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made. The fire marshal identified the owner of the vehicle as Etta Smith.
