Huntington Elementary School will be trying a new fundraising project during the 2008-09 school year. The school has partnered with Escrip and Shutterfly in order to create a calendar for which the school will receive 40 percent of the revenue generated by calendar purchases.
The unique feature of the fundraiser is that pictures and dates on the original calendar can be edited before purchasing a calendar. Currently, the calendar contains Huntingtown ElementarySchool pictures, traditional holidays and important school dates like early dismissals, days off, report card dates, etc.
Interested buyers will receive a link to the sampe calendar. Before making a purchase, they will have the opportunity to change any pictures, change the borders, add important family dates like birthdays and anniversaries. After making changes, they will purchase their personalized calendar. The calendar is for 18 months from August 2008 to January 2010.
