Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department Holds Annual Awards Banquet

On Saturday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department held their 38th annual awards banquet at the Huntingtown VFD Hall to honor the men and women who serve each year to make their station and the volunteer service what it is today.

Special note should be made that Calvert County is the only full-time volunteer fire service in the State of Maryland and hopes to remain that way for many years to come.
 
The Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department is proud of its service record. The department has made over ten thousand calls without missing a call during the past three years; quite a record.
 
There were awards given out to many of the HVFD members. Not all names are listed.
 
The Chief’s Award went to Mike Nasti.
