UPDATE 5:30 p.m.
On Aug. 30, around 12:23 p.m., the Maryland Bank & Trust located at 691 Prince Frederick Boulevard in Prince Frederick was robbed.
The suspect, described as a black male, handed a teller a note requesting money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot traveling in a northerly direction. No one was injured.

UPDATE 1:30 p.m. : Calvert Bank Robbery, Schools Placed on High Alert
Message from Calvert County Public Schools
Information has come to the attention of the Superintendent’s office that a robbery has occurred in the Prince Frederick area. We have our schools in the Prince Frederick corridor on heightened alert and will remain on alert until further notice. We will be in contact with law enforcement until the situation has been cleared.
Authorities in Calvert County are on the scene of a bank robbery at the Maryland Bank and Trust in Prince Frederick. The bank was robbed around 12:50 p.m. on Monday, August 30.
The suspect is being described as a tall black male with an afro, in his 30’s, wearing black pants, dark sunglasses and a hat with yellow markings and the number 24 on it.
No injuries have been reported.
