ย At 3:33 p.m. Friday, volunteer firefighters were dispatched to a raging house fire on Secretariate Drive in Hollywood.

ย Firefighters arrived to find a large house fully engulfed, with flames coming through the roof.

ย All occupants were reported to have escaped. Later a Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad crew checked out three occupants, who refused further treatment.

ย By 4:05 p.m., firefighters knocked down remaining flames raging in the attic, but not before a first floor collapsed into the basement. Volunteer firefighters on the scene included companies from Hollywood, Leonardtown and Bay District.

ย The fire was declared under control, but units remained on the scene wetting down hot spots and overhauling the structure for more than three hours. The Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office was also dispatched to the scene.

ย Hollywood crews were called back to the scene at 7:30 p.m., less than an hour after leaving, when the front porch area reportedly re-ignited.
