Inmate Makes Threats Against Public Officials

On February 12, 2011 Deputy Flerlage responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center of a destruction of property report.

Investigation revealed inmate, Antonio Warren Gantt, 43 of Leonardtown, pulled a Sanyo television set off the wall and threw it onto the floor causing it to break. While Deputy Flerlage was processing Gantt for the destruction of property Gantt made two separate assassination threats against elected officials Judge Raley and States Attorney Fritz.

Deputy Flerlage informed Gantt that a threat against a public official is a crime. Gantt’s informed Deputy Flerlage he was serious about the threats.

Gantt was charged with destruction of property and two counts of threats against public officials.
