Iona Moon will be conducting a workshop, the SeaPort-e Boot Camp, for current and prospective holders of the Navy’s SeaPort-e contract vehicle on January 27, 2011.

SeaPort-e, the Navy’s preferred vehicle for engineering and technical services has grown to over 1,800 small and large business primes since 2005. SeaPort-e offers companies the opportunity to compete for work across all Navy commands and the United States Marine Corps. Iona Moon is industry’s leading resource for tools and expertise on SeaPort-e, having led over 150 firms to success as primes and task-order awardees.

For the first time, this knowledge is being offered in a concentrated, one-day training session, dubbed a “Boot Camp” due to the intense pace and the sheer volume of information being provided. This is the last chance to receive this training prior to rolling admissions 2011, anticipated to open next spring. Two morning sessions will provide training tailored to current and prospective prime contract holders, respectively. The afternoon session will feature advanced tactical methods for winning SeaPort-e task orders. Additionally, Iona Moon president and small business expert Lee Moon will discuss recent Department of Defense policy decisions– including the Ashton Carter memo of September 14, 2010–and their ramifications to your businesses development strategy.

Finally, a networking and matchmaking social will provide opportunities for attendees to meet potential team mates from Navy primes, and chat with Iona Moon experts one-on-one. The event will be held in Solomons, Maryland, just across from the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, home of Naval Air Systems Command and the Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division. Iona Moon is a management consulting and business development firm serving companies across Department of Defense, Federal Government, maritime and aerospace markets, and is the leading knowledge resource for the Navy’s SeaPort-e contract.
