Leonardtown, MD – State and local authorities are seeking the person or persons who intentionally set a Jeep on fire in St. Maryโ€™s County Monday evening, April 3. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, the 2006 Jeep was found on Knight Road in Leonardtown around 10:51 p.m.

โ€œA joint investigation with the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office revealed someone intentionally damaged numerous items on the vehicle,โ€ a deputy fire marshal stated in a report. โ€œIn addition to the property destruction, the convertible top on the Jeep was intentionally ignited in an attempt to destroy the Jeep.โ€

Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,500.
