Honors St. Mary’s Science Fair Winners at Air Museum

 

It was a day for honoring young scientists Wednesday, April 13, at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum, featuring Former Astronaut and U.S. Senator John Glenn.

 

Glenn, the first American to orbit the earth and one of the original Mercury 7 astronauts, highlighted the importance of the Science Fair and the STEM (Science, Technology, Enfineering and Mathematics) education program.

 

Following his remarks, Glenn congratulated each Science Fair winner individually and spoke with several following the program.
