Chesapeake Beach, MD – Before โ€œback to schoolโ€ it was a day for some โ€œold schoolโ€ 1980s music and Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa had booked a band that was all about the decade. Labor Day, Monday Sept. 3 the bayside band shell showcased the sounds of Eclipse, The Ultimate Journey Tribute. The Baltimore-based group was formed in 2013. The bandโ€™s music, according to their web site, is from โ€œthe Steve Perry period of 1978 to 1986.โ€ With strong vocals by lead singer Foroque Khan, the familiar Journey standards were performed, including Donโ€™t Stop Believing, Faithfully, Open Arms and Wheel in the Sky. The group also performed songs from two other classic Arena Rock bands–Styx and Van Halen.

Eclipse, The Ultimate Journey Tribute is currently booked at several shows throughout Maryland during the month of September. The bandโ€™s managerโ€”Ken Wolleโ€”is also their drummer (pictured, above).
