St. Mary’s County has announced the following facilities will not be operating on Independence Day, Friday, July 4:
The St. Andrews Landfill, 44825 St. Andrews Church Road in California will be closed.
The county’s six convenience centers will be closed — Charlotte Hall Convenience on New Market Road, Clements Convenience Center on Horseshoe Road, Oakville Convenience Center on North Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville, Ridge Convenience Center on Point Lookout Road, and St. Andrew’s Convenience Center on St. Andrew’s Church Road in California and Valley Lee Convenience Center on Happyland Road. The landfill and convenience centers will reopen on Saturday, July 5.
St. Mary’s Transit System will be closed Friday, July 4, and will reopen on Saturday, July 5.
The three St. Mary’s County libraries — Charlotte Hall Branch at 37600 New Market Road, Leonardtown Branch at 23250 Hollywood Road and the Lexington Park Branch
21677 FDR Blvd — will be closed on Friday, July 4, Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 and reopen on Monday, July 7.
There will be no Meals on Wheels on Friday, July 4. All county senior centers — Garvey Senior Center at 41780 Baldridge St. in Leonardtown, Loffler Senior Center at 21905 Chancellor’s Run Road in Great Mills and Northern Center at 29655 Charlotte Hall Road — will be closed.
