The July 2013 Charles County Department of Community Services issue of The SCOOP will be available online at www.CharlesCountyMD.gov/CS on Friday, June 21. Printed copies of the SCOOP will also be available at your local senior center starting on Friday, June 21.
The SCOOP contains news, special events, and trips. This issue also features a Hometown Independence Day Celebration, Some Hot Party Tunes Party and a Taylor Marie Fashion show and Sale.
The Clark Senior Center will host a Hometown Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3 from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Join the fabulous Hometown Band for a day of dancing, fun and excitement, at our annual Independence Day Celebration. Bring your dancing shoes, wear red, white and blue, and be ready to dance. The fee is $6 (includes lunch) or $3 (bring a bag lunch) and $8 for under age 60. The deadline to register is Wednesday, June 26.
The Waldorf Senior Center is having a Taylor Marie Fashion Show and Sale on Thursday, July 11, starting at noon. Taylor Marie is a mobile retail clothing store with over twenty racks of up-to-date clothing and accessories from respected, high quality brands at low prices. All items marked at 50% off.ย Come and watch your girl friends as the lovely models.
The Indian Head Senior Center will feature a “Cool off With Some Hot Tunes Party” on Thursday, July 18 from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Reginald Kelly, The Musicologist, provides professional entertainment through vocals, performing many tribute artists, and karaoke. Join the party, dance, sing, and have fun. The fee is $6 and includes lunch. Registration deadline is Thursday, July 11.
