Rebecca Olsen, 17, of Brandywine was recognized recently by Kohlโs Department Storesโ Kohlโs Cares Scholarship Program as one of more than 2,300 young volunteers nationwide who have made a positive impact in their communities through volunteerism.
Forty-five youth from Maryland, including Olsen, will each receive a $50 gift card and recognition certificate from Kohlโs to honor their community service efforts.

Since the Kohlโs Cares Scholarship Program began in 2001, Kohlโs has recognized more than 17,000 kids with more thanย ย $3.4 million in scholarships and prizes.
