La Plata and Indian Head held town council elections on Tuesday.  Here are the results as reported to The Bay Net by the respective Town Halls.

 

INDIAN HEAD – All three town government positions were up for election.  173 Indian Head residents voted in the election.  By town law, the top three candidates are awarded the top three town positions according to quantity of votes.  Only three candidates ran for office in this election. 

 

Dennis Scheessele – 104 votes – Mayor

Randy Albright – 90 votes – Vice Mayor

Margie Posey – 78 votes – Councilwoman

 

 

LA PLATA – Two town council seats were up for election this time.  Councilman Wayne Winkler for Ward I and Councilman Keith Back for Ward II have finished their term of office.  Ninety-nine La Plata residents cast their votes to elect new council members.

 

James Goldsmith – 75 votes – New Ward I Councilman

Reginald Kearney – 11 votes                                       .
