The Maryland State Police La Plata Barrack announced it will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint during the Memorial Day weekend. The operation will be conducted as part of the “Checkpoint Strikeforce” operation in conjunction with five other states and the District of Columbia.
Police say that the goal of the checkpoint is to reduce the number of drunk and drugged drivers on Charles County roadways during the holiday weekend.
