Waldorf, MD—The Charles County Chamber of Commerce is hosting their inaugural, 1st Annual Ball Drop Raffle at Regency Furniture Stadium on Friday, Sept. 15 at 6:15 p.m. The grand prize for the raffle is $10,000. Only 225 tickets are being sold, giving the ticket-holders fantastic odds at winning! Raffle tickets are $100, and include a ticket to the Blue Crabs baseball game that night as well. The winner of the raffle will be indicated by a literal ball drop—a helicopter will fly over the stadium, releasing 225 numbered balls. A marker will be made on the ballfield, and the ball that lands closest to the marker will determine the winner. It’s a fair game, with everyone having a great chance at winning $10,000!
A portion of all the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Charles County Volunteer Firefighter Association and Charles County Emergency Medical Services. The platinum sponsor for the event is Washington Gas. To purchase a ticket, you can visit the Charles County Chamber of Commerce office in person or go to the chamber’s web site and fill out the registration form. You can complete the process online, or you have the option of mailing it in to the office. Spend $100 and you can win $10,000. Either way, part of your ticket money will be donated to two phenomenal organizations that do an amazing job in keeping our community safe. To top it all off, you get to watch a ball game. On Sept. 15, we’ll be yelling two things: “good luck!” and “play ball!”
