Waldorf, MD – Police in Charles County are investigating a pair of armed robberies that occurred late Tuesday evening Waldorf. According to Charles County Sheriffโs Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson, the first robbery occurred at McDonalds on Leonardtown Road shortly before midnight. The second robbery was reported a few minutes later at WaWa on Berry Road.
Richardson said in both incidents a man entered the store, displayed a gun, demanded and was given money. Both times the culprit fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries in either incident. Police believe one suspect is responsible for the robberies.
The suspect is described as a black male, late teens to mid-20s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing all black and a bandana covering part of his face.
There is no information about a getaway vehicle at this time.
Richardson told The BayNet investigators have recovered evidence. She could not divulge what the evidence is.
