Pursuant to the St. Mary’s County BCI investigation into the Jan. 23, burglary and theft at the Cut Rate Tobacco and Liquor Store in Lexington Park, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Charles C. Butler, 34 of Lexington Park and Sherman S. Stewart , 23 of no fixed address.
On Feb. 2, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Deputies located Butler and Stewart on Flower Drive in Lexington Park and apprehended them. They were served with the warrants charging them with burglary, theft and property destruction and incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
BCI detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.
