Barbara Ann Hill, 76, of Waldorf, MD passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. She was born on February 8, 1945 in Baltimore, MD to the late, Robert Moore and Lucille Moran. She was blessed to have been raised by her beloved grandparents, Lala Ann Moran and William Moran whom she lovingly called Momma and Daddy.
Barbara was an independent woman who worked hard to support her family. She was the proud mother of one wonderful child, Donna. She worked as a medical insurance biller for Southern Maryland Medical Center from 1980 until her retirement in 2015. She couldnโt just sit back when there was still work to be done and she took a part-time position at JRJ Tax Service just to keep her mind active.
The most important thing in the world to her was her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her cherished granddaughter, Julia. She had an artistic eye and loved to create beautiful scrapbook pages that enhanced pictures. She also was a talented knitter and made many wonderful pieces her family will cherish for generations.
Barbara was still active and loved to go to St. Maryโs Landing to eat dinner, listen to some music, tell a few jokes or hang out with her friends. She was the life of the party with a kind and energetic soul. She will be missed by many but her light canโt be dimmed. She is shining brightly in the night sky guiding you with her wisdom and love. Barbara will live on forever in our memories.ย
She is survived by her child: Donna Hill-Bowie (Jim) of Waldorf, MD; one granddaughter, Julia Bowie of Waldorf, MD; and her siblings, Joyce White, Margaret Ferricks, and Mary Jane Carnahan. She is predeceased by her parents, grandparents and brother, William C. McCreedy, Jr.
