Born September 7, 1956 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the Omie Gladden of Lexington Park, MD and the late Mary Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a construction worker.
He is survived by his father, Omie Gladden of Lexington Park, MD, a daughter, Ernestine Johnson, two sons, Ernest Johnson and Adrian Johnson all of Lexington Park, MD, two step-sons, Anthony Carter, Sr. of Leonardtown, MD, and Christopher Carter, Sr. of Lexington Park, MD, 13 grandchildren, three sisters, Dena Newman of Temple Hills, MD, Doreen Holmes of Largo, MD, Celeste Courtney of Lexington Park, MD, and five brothers, Calvin Johnson of Temple Hills, MD, Charles Simpson of Ft. Washington, MD, Edward Saunders of Colonial Beach, VA, Joseph Fisher of Oxon Hill, MD and Phillip Robinson of Lexington Park, MD, his foster mother, Mary Saunders-Elder and his wife Karen Johnson. He was preceded in death by his foster father, Isaiah Saunders, Sr. and brother, Isaiah Saunders, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, St. Inigoes, MD. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rose Willard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Adrian Johnson, Joseph Chase, Kelsey Saunders, Kevin Chase, Brian Carter and Michael Saunders.
